- How is my plan chosen?
- By the number of parcels in the area you choose (an incorporated town, an unincorporated community like Silver Spring, or one ZIP code inside a large one), counted from Maryland's statewide parcel data during signup. You'll see the count and the plan before you start.
- Is there a per-user fee?
- No. Starter includes 5 users, Town 10, and City 20: clerks, inspectors, commissioners, and board members. Need more? Move up a plan or contact us.
- Who can see our notes, photos, and observations?
- Only your organization (on Solo, only you). Everyone starts from the same public records, but everything you add (field notes, photos, observations, notices, scoring settings, and questions you ask the assistant) is private to your account. It is never shown to other users or organizations, even ones tracking the same town, and we don't pool it across customers.
- What's the difference between Solo and the team plans?
- Solo is for one person: a researcher, journalist, resident, or board member working on their own. It includes the full register, map, and owner details on every parcel, field notes, and Ask the register with 50 questions a month. Owner lists, mailing lists, team roles, and enforcement notices are on the team plans. Each additional town on Solo is $19/month.
- Do I need a credit card for the trial?
- Solo, Solo Plus and Starter: yes. A card starts your 7-day trial, nothing is charged that day, we email you three days before it ends, and it's billed only if you haven't cancelled; cancelling is one click under Plan & billing. Town and City (local governments): no card; you get 14 days so staff and the board have time, then choose a plan or pay by invoice or purchase order. Either way the trial is the full product, one per person, and an ended trial leaves your register viewable, read-only.
- Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
- Yes. Annual plans can be billed by emailed invoice, net 30, payable by ACH, check, or card. Add your PO number at checkout. A W-9 is available on request.
- What data is included?
- Every parcel's assessment record, values, use, sales history, and lines from Maryland SDAT and MD iMap, refreshed automatically. In Prince George's County, owner names and mailing addresses come from the county's assessment roll. Elsewhere in Maryland, owner names are not in the public statewide data — you'll see exactly what's available for your town before signing up.
- Who can issue enforcement notices?
- Verified local governments. We confirm that the person who signs up represents the town — automatically for .gov and .md.us email addresses, otherwise usually within one business day. Associations, nonprofits, and researchers get the full register without enforcement.
- Can we cancel?
- Any time, from Plan & billing. Monthly plans end at the close of the billing month; annual plans at the end of the term. Download your reports as PDFs before you go.
